Niccolo Bechtler is a poet, teacher, writer, and musician.
About
He was raised in a small town known for its market square and the daily occurrence of its weather. Until recently, it did not appear on maps. He began to write poems when a passing crow left a pencil on his windowsill and he felt an unspeakable longing.
He received his MFA from the University of Washington, where he saw many things and knew several people.
His poetry has received the Joan Grayston Poetry Prize and appeared in Glassworks, Change Seven, Barely South, and in temporary form on walls and mailboxes.
During the academic year, he teaches English at a school near the windowsill.
When he is not writing or teaching, he is daydreaming. When he is not daydreaming, he enjoys being outdoors. When he is outdoors, he is often daydreaming.
